Moving, transport and clearance in Zürich
In the city of Zürich we plan the Halteverbot (a reserved parking space for the van) in from the start, because in Kreis 3, 4, 5 and 6 nothing moves without one.
A move in the city of Zürich rarely fails because of the furniture. It fails because of the parking. If you live in Kreis 3, 4, 5 or 6, there is no free space outside your building — and without a reserved one, a one-day job quickly turns into a day and a half.
So we plan the Halteverbot in as soon as the date is fixed. We handle the application, the fee and the signs for CHF 140; the city needs a few working days' notice, so tell us early.
The rest is craft: narrow stairwells in old buildings, lifts no sofa will fit into, and courtyards that are on no map. On a short video check we see all of it in ten minutes.

Halteverbot in the city of Zürich
We apply for the space at the Dienstabteilung Verkehr (the city traffic department), put the signs up three to four days beforehand and clear them away again after the job. Flat CHF 140, fee included.

Old buildings, lifts and stairwells
In Kreis 4, 5 and 6 there are plenty of buildings without a lift. We charge CHF 60 per floor without a lift, capped at five floors — and if the stairwell is too narrow, the furniture hoist comes along.

Handover to the property management
Besenrein (swept clean) is always included with us: the floor swept, nothing left in the corners. What we do not do is the final clean with Abnahmegarantie, the guarantee that the flat passes the handover inspection. That is a job for a cleaning firm, and we would rather tell you now than on handover day.
