We show the sums instead of making promises.
Every price is out in the open on this site, every line of the guide price folds out so you can check the arithmetic, and on Zügeltag (moving day) the person you spoke to carries boxes himself. Anyone can promise — you can do the sums.
The one who rings your doorbell
„I started ZUMOVE because I was tired of hearing how people get taken for a ride when they move: bait prices, surcharges out of nowhere, firms that turn up with two people when you booked three. With me you see the sums before you book. And if a job isn't right for us, I say so — better an honest no than an expensive yes.“
The price comes before the contact
Hourly rates and flat fees are right here on the site — not behind a form, not after a callback. You see what it costs without giving us your number first.
A number that holds
After the quick look — on site or in ten minutes by video — you get a fixed price in writing. The invoice later lists the same items. No new lines, no fuel surcharge, no “turned out to be more than we thought”.
Always the same person on the phone
No call centre, no enquiry passed on, no five unknown firms ringing you back. You write to us, and the reply comes from the same person who stands in your stairwell on Zügeltag (moving day).
Clean means actually clean
Furniture travels in blankets, mattresses in covers, stairwells stay unscratched. We hand the old flat over besenrein (swept clean) — our packing material goes back with us.

Call or message us on WhatsApp, and we come round and look at what needs doing. Twenty minutes, free, and you commit to nothing.

A quick check, by video or on site
You send us a video on WhatsApp — room by room, don't forget the cellar — or we come round. After that we know how many people, which vehicle and how many hours it really takes. The check costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

A fixed price in writing, before you say yes
You get the quote by email or WhatsApp: date, start time, crew size, vehicle, every service and the final price. Underneath it says what isn't included. The quote is valid for 30 days — you confirm with a short reply, not with a stack of paperwork.
04On the dayStep 4 · on the day
We arrive, carry, drive, set down
We're there at the agreed time, you show us what's coming along, and at the new place you have one job left: say where it goes. At the end we walk through both flats together. Only then is the job finished.
Call or send us a video, we take a quick look, you get the fixed price in writing. Usually all on the same day.
05 — Where we work
Zürich, Uster, Winterthur — and 40 kilometres all around.
Our core area is the canton of Zürich and the regions next to it. Travel up to 15 km is in the price, after that we charge CHF 2.00 per kilometre — shown openly, not hidden in a “flat expenses fee”.
Zürich
In the city of Zürich we plan the Halteverbot (reserved parking permit) in from the start, because in Kreis 3, 4, 5 and 6 you get nowhere without a reserved space.
Uster
Around Uster and the Greifensee we know the tight access roads and the buildings without a lift — so we plan one more person instead of one more hour.
Winterthur
In Winterthur we often move into old buildings with stairwells no sofa fits through. When it gets tight, the furniture hoist comes along, before anything gets stuck.
Your town not on the list? Ask anyway. For bigger jobs we drive anywhere in Switzerland — moves from Zürich to Ticino or to western Switzerland are possible too.

What people really ask before a move.
Honest answers, even when they cost us money. Anything that isn't here, we'll answer in two minutes on the phone.
What does a move in Zürich actually cost?
A 2.5-room flat within the city usually comes to CHF 600 to 800, a 3.5-room flat CHF 870 to 1'160 — with a lift at both addresses. Without a lift, add CHF 60 per floor, at each address and capped at five. The price list shows every line on its own, and on the phone we work it through with you in ten minutes.
How do you get from the guide figure to a binding price?
The price list shows what we calculate with — hourly rate, flat fees, what costs extra. That turns into a price as soon as we've had a quick look: at your place, or in ten minutes on a video call, both free. What you then get in writing is a fixed price, and it holds as long as nothing changes in what you told us.
What is included in the hourly rate?
The vehicle, fuel, kilometres in the core area up to 15 km, blankets, straps, mattress covers, sack trolleys and tools, taking the normal furniture apart and building it up again, and the besenrein (swept clean) handover. On top comes only what you need on top: boxes, a furniture hoist, a Halteverbot (the permit that keeps the kerb outside free) or disposal. There is no fuel surcharge and no materials surcharge with us.
