Responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is ZUMOVE, owner Marco Gasparoni. You will find the contact details in the Impressum and at the end of this statement.

This statement follows the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG), in force since 1 September 2023. For visitors from the EEA, section 13 applies in addition.

This statement applies to the website zumove.ch and its subdomains, to the guide-price calculator, to the quote form and to enquiries that reach us by phone, email or WhatsApp.

“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. “Processing” means any handling of it — collecting, storing, using, disclosing, deleting.

We only process what is necessary for the purpose in question:

• Server log data: shortened IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer, browser and operating system. This data arises technically from running the site.
• Quote and contact form: name, phone number, email address, addresses from and to, preferred date and your message.
• Details from the guide-price calculator: number of rooms, floor, lift, distance, extra services selected. These details do not leave your browser until you send an enquiry — until then they sit only in the link to your receipt.
• Job data: date, scope of services, price, invoicing and payment details.
• WhatsApp communication: the content of the messages, including photos and videos you send us.

We process your data to prepare and send quotes, schedule appointments, carry out the job, issue invoices, meet statutory retention obligations and keep the website secure and working.

We do not sell data, we do not pass enquiries on to other moving companies or lead-generation portals, and we send no advertising without your express consent.

The website runs on Vercel Inc. and is served via European data centres. Vercel is a processor within the meaning of Art. 9 DSG (Swiss Data Protection Act); a corresponding contract is in place.

Server log data is processed to fend off attacks and to trace errors, and is deleted after 30 days.

In the quote form, your name plus a phone number or an email address are mandatory fields — without them we cannot reply. All other details are voluntary and only serve to make the quote more accurate.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the terms of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. apply in addition. We have no influence over how WhatsApp processes metadata. If you want to avoid that, call us or send an email.

Enquiries that do not result in a job are deleted after 12 months.

This website sets no tracking cookies and embeds no ad networks. That is why there is no consent banner either: there is nothing to consent to.

The guide-price calculator stores your last calculated guide price in your browser's local storage, so that it is still there after you move to another page. It stays on your device and never reaches us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Legal basis for technically necessary storage: Art. 45c lit. b FMG (Swiss Telecommunications Act).

Fonts and videos sit on our own server. No fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and no videos from YouTube or Vimeo are embedded — so visiting this page opens no connection to Google, Meta or any other third party.

We do not embed a Google Maps map either. The service area is described as a list.

We pass data on only as far as it is necessary to carry out the job or the law requires it. Recipients may be: hosting and IT providers, the email service used to send quote requests, disposal and recycling facilities (without personal data wherever possible), our fiduciary and accounting office, and insurers in the event of a claim.

If we bring in subcontractors for a job, they receive only the details they need for the work.

Quote requests are sent through Resend and processed exclusively in Ireland (eu-west-1) — they do not leave the EU. The website itself runs on Vercel Inc. and is served via European data centres. Both providers have their seat in the USA, so access from there cannot be entirely ruled out. Since 15 September 2024 the Federal Council recognises the USA under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as a country with adequate data protection, provided the recipient is certified; standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

We keep data only as long as the purpose or the law requires:

• Server log data: 30 days
• Enquiries without a job: 12 months
• Job, invoice and accounting records: 10 years (Art. 958f OR, Swiss Code of Obligations)
• WhatsApp threads: until the job is completed, then deleted periodically

The entire website runs over TLS/HTTPS. Only people who need job data for their work have access to it. Devices are protected with a password and a screen lock, accounts with two-factor authentication wherever possible.

Nobody can guarantee absolute protection — we take the appropriate technical and organisational measures under Art. 8 DSG.

You have the right to information about the data processed about you (Art. 25 DSG, as a rule free of charge and within 30 days), to have incorrect data corrected, to have data deleted and to object to processing. Where we process data on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

An informal message to info@zumove.ch is enough. For security we may ask for proof of identity.

For people in the EEA, the rights under the GDPR apply in addition, in particular to data portability and restriction of processing.

You have the right to complain to the Eidgenössischer Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragter (EDÖB, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch.
