ZUMOVE

How it works

Four steps. No surprises in between.

No callback roulette, no waiting on five quotes. One quick look, then a number that holds.

04 — How it works

From the first question to an empty stairwell — in four steps.

No callback roulette, no waiting on five quotes. One quick look, then a number that holds.

  1. Kartons stapeln sich in einem hellen Gang01Free

    Step 1 · free

We come and take a look

Call or message us on WhatsApp, and we come round and look at what needs doing. Twenty minutes, free, and you commit to nothing.

  2. Blick in den beladenen Lieferwagen02Usually same day

    Step 2 · 10 minutes

A quick check, by video or on site

You send us a video on WhatsApp — room by room, don't forget the cellar — or we come round. After that we know how many people, which vehicle and how many hours it really takes. The check costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  3. Zwei Träger bringen ein Sofa durchs Treppenhaus03In writing

    Step 3 · same day

A fixed price in writing, before you say yes

You get the quote by email or WhatsApp: date, start time, crew size, vehicle, every service and the final price. Underneath it says what isn't included. The quote is valid for 30 days — you confirm with a short reply, not with a stack of paperwork.

  4. Kartons werden in die neue Wohnung getragen04On the day

Step 4 · on the day

We arrive, carry, drive, set down

We're there at the agreed time, you show us what's coming along, and at the new place you have one job left: say where it goes. At the end we walk through both flats together. Only then is the job finished.

Zügeltag

One Zügeltag (moving day), minute by minute

Example: 3.5-room flat, Zürich Kreis 6 (3rd floor, no lift) to Uster (1st floor, lift). Crew of 3, truck 30–35 m³.

  1. 07:40

Arrival. We park the truck, lay protection down the stairwell and walk the route.

  2. 08:00

Start. A quick round with you: what comes, what stays, what's delicate.

  3. 08:15

Dismantling. Beds, wardrobes, tables. Screws go into the box, labelled.

  4. 10:30

Loading. Heavy at the bottom, fragile in blankets, everything strapped down.

  5. 11:15

Drive to Uster. You don't have to come along.

  6. 12:00

Unloading. Boxes go into the room that's written on the box.

  7. 14:00

Assembly. Beds first, so someone can sleep tonight.

  8. 15:30

Check. Old flat besenrein (swept clean), blankets and kit back in the van.

  9. 16:00

Handover. We walk through together, you sign the job sheet, the invoice comes by email.

What we need from you

  • 01Both addresses with the floor, and the answer: lift or no lift.
  • 02How the van gets there — courtyard access, blue zone (timed street parking), a narrow lane, or nothing at all.
  • 03What comes with you, what gets disposed of, and what you carry yourself.
  • 04Your preferred date and a backup. End of month is booked out everywhere.
  • 05A number we can reach on the day.

What you don't have to organise

  • Blankets, straps, sack trolleys, tools — all in the van.
  • Taking furniture apart and putting it back together: we do it, as a separate item for CHF 155 — tell us before we fix the date.
  • Parking permit in the city of Zürich: we apply for it with the city police for CHF 140 — that's their fee, we add nothing on top. Tell us seven working days beforehand.
  • Getting rid of old furniture: we take it away and dispose of it properly, CHF 100 per m³.
  • Sorting out boxes: we bring 20 and collect them again for CHF 75.

A clearance has a different tone

Clearing a flat is rarely just another appointment. Often someone has died, often it has to happen fast, often a handover deadline is in the way. So we work more quietly, ask more questions and don't push.

You mark what stays. Everything else we sort on site: still usable, recyclable, disposal. Documents, photos, jewellery and anything that looks like a memory we put to one side and show you before it leaves the room.

At the end the room is empty and besenrein (swept clean), with a disposal certificate if you want one. If you don't want to be there, or can't: we send photos before and after the clearance.

You pay once everything is in place

No deposit, not even on big jobs. The invoice comes by email after the job, payable within 10 days. TWINT, bank transfer, cash and card all work.

Every amount on this page is a final price. ZUMOVE is not registered for MWST (Swiss VAT), so nothing is added on top. What's in the quote is what's on the invoice.

Changing or cancelling your date

Free, and right up to the last minute: we charge no cancellation fee and ask for no deposit. If things get tight at short notice, call us — we'd rather reschedule than run an empty van.

Rain, snow, lift out of service

Weather is no reason for a surcharge and no reason to cancel. Only when it stops being safe — ice on the ramp, a storm at the furniture hoist — do we move the date, at no cost to you.

Questions about the process

What people often ask about the process.

Honest answers, even when they cost us money. Anything that isn't here, we'll answer in two minutes on the phone.

How quickly do I get a binding quote?

A first number comes on the phone, usually in the same call. For the fixed price we need a quick look at the flat — by video on WhatsApp that takes ten minutes, and the quote usually follows the same working day.

Does someone have to come round for a viewing?

Not necessarily. For moves up to 3.5 rooms and for transport jobs, a video or a few photos are enough for us. For bigger flats, narrow stairwells or full cellars we'd rather come and look ourselves — free and with no obligation.

Is the fixed price really fixed?

Yes. It holds even if the job takes longer than planned, if the weather is bad or the sofa turns out heavier than expected. It can only change if the job changes — more furniture, a different address, extra disposal. And we talk about that beforehand, not on the invoice.

How soon can I get a date?

Often within a few days; for transport jobs sometimes the same day. Short notice costs no more: a date the day after tomorrow has the same price as one in a month.

When and how do I pay?

After the job. You get the invoice by email, payable within 30 days. We ask for no deposit — not from private customers, not from companies.

What happens if I have to move the date?

Free of charge, even at short notice. We charge no cancellation fee. Just let us know as early as you can — we'd rather move a date than send out an empty van, and a free day usually still finds another job.

07 — Get started

Tell us what needs moving.

Two photos on WhatsApp are enough for a first read on the job. For the fixed price we come round — it costs nothing and takes ten minutes.

Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If a job isn't right for us, we say so straight away instead of stringing you along.

Every day, 06:00 to 20:00. We usually reply within the hour.
